How to Measure
- Chest: Wrap a flexible measuring tape around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape horizontal and level with the floor. Ensure the tape is snug but not constricting, allowing for one finger to slide underneath.
- Waist: Measure around your natural waistline, which is the narrowest part of your torso, typically located just above the navel. Avoid pulling the tape too tight; it should rest comfortably against your skin.
- Hips: Stand with your feet together and wrap the tape around the widest part of your hips and buttocks. This measurement is crucial for ensuring the correct drape in our lifestyle trousers and chinos.
- Foot Length: To measure for footwear, place your foot flat on a piece of paper against a wall. Mark the tip of your longest toe and the back of your heel. Measure the distance between these two points in centimetres to find your true foot length.
- Leg Inseam: For trousers, measure from the uppermost part of your inner thigh down to the ankle bone. This helps in determining the appropriate length for our casual chinos and joggers.

Product-Specific Guidance
Casual Tops & Knitwear: For our t-shirts, polos, and sweatshirts, we recommend focusing primarily on your chest measurement. If you prefer a more relaxed, oversized aesthetic for a contemporary streetwear look, consider selecting one size larger than your standard measurement. For heavier knitwear, ensure the shoulder seam sits naturally at the edge of your shoulder to maintain a structured appearance.
Lifestyle Bottoms: When selecting chinos, joggers, or shorts, the waist measurement is your primary guide. However, for our more tailored trousers, the hip measurement is equally important to ensure the fabric drapes smoothly without pulling across the thighs. If you find yourself between waist sizes, we suggest sizing up and using a belt to secure the fit.
Footwear: Our footwear is designed for all-day comfort. We recommend measuring your foot in the afternoon, as feet tend to expand slightly throughout the day. Always ensure there is approximately a thumb's width of space between your longest toe and the front of the shoe to prevent discomfort during extended periods of walking.
Sizing Tips
- Measure in the Morning: For the most consistent results, especially when measuring for footwear, take your measurements in the morning when your body is at its most neutral state.
- Use a Soft Tape: Always use a flexible tailor's tape. Using a metal construction tape can lead to inaccurate, rigid measurements that do not account for the natural contours of your body.
- The "One Finger" Rule: When measuring your chest or waist, always ensure you can fit one finger comfortably between the tape and your body to avoid a fit that is too restrictive.
- Account for Layering: If you plan to wear heavy layers, such as hoodies or thermal undershirts, under our outerwear, consider selecting a slightly larger size to accommodate the extra bulk.
- Symmetry Matters: Always measure both sides of your body. If there is a significant discrepancy between your left and right measurements, always size according to the larger dimension.
- Check the Centimetres: While inches are standard in the UK, we highly recommend cross-referencing with the centimetre (cm) measurements provided in our charts for maximum precision.
- Don't Forget the Socks: When measuring for shoes, always wear the type of socks you intend to wear with the footwear (e.g., thick cotton socks for boots) to ensure the volume of the shoe is correctly assessed.
