Fabric Size Guide
Fabric is built on the principle of architectural precision. We believe that clothing should not merely cover the body, but complement its natural geometry. Our sizing philosophy is rooted in the concept of "The Perfect Drape"—ensuring that every seam, every hem, and every silhouette aligns with the wearer's unique contours. Whether you are seeking the sharp, structured lines of our tailored menswear or the fluid, effortless elegance of our womenswear, our guides are designed to eliminate the uncertainty of international shopping. We believe that true luxury lies in the confidence of a perfect fit, and our commitment to accuracy is woven into every garment we produce.
How to Measure
To ensure the most accurate fit when ordering from Fabric, we recommend taking your measurements while wearing the type of undergarments you intend to wear with your chosen garment. Use a flexible, non-stretch tailor's tape for the most precise results.
- Chest or Bust: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level across your back and directly under your arms. Do not pull the tape too tight; it should rest comfortably against the skin.
- Waist: Measure around your natural waistline, which is the narrowest part of your torso, typically located just above the navel. For trousers, ensure the tape is positioned where you prefer the waistband to sit.
- Hips: Stand with your feet together and wrap the tape around the widest part of your hips and buttocks. This is a critical measurement for ensuring the correct drape in tailored trousers and skirts.
- Inseam: For trousers and denim, measure from the uppermost part of your inner thigh down to the ankle bone. This measurement is essential for determining the "break" of the fabric on your footwear.
- Foot Length: Place your foot flat on a piece of paper. Trace the outline of your foot, keeping the pencil vertical. Measure the distance from the back of the heel to the tip of your longest toe in centimetres.
