How to Measure
- Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape measure parallel to the ground and snug (not tight).
- Waist: Find your natural waist, typically the narrowest part above your hip bones. Measure comfortably without pulling the tape.
- Hips: Stand with feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, keeping the tape level.
- Length: For dresses and tops, measure from the top of your shoulder down to your desired hem length. For trousers, measure the inside leg from your crotch seam to your ankle.
- Shoes: Measure your foot length in centimetres by placing your heel against a wall and measuring to the tip of your longest toe. Measure in the evening when feet are slightly swollen for the most accurate fit.
- Width consideration: If you have particularly narrow or wide feet, note this when reviewing shoe size conversions, as width can affect comfort across brands.

Product-Specific Guidance
Dresses & Occasion Wear
YOURS occasion wear is expertly cut to enhance curves and provide a polished silhouette for celebrations, weddings, and special events. When selecting a dress, prioritise the bust measurement first, as most styles are fitted through the chest. If you fall between two sizes, choose based on your bust; our stretch fabrics will accommodate slight variations in the waist and hips. Length conversions may vary by style, so always review the specific product description. For wrap dresses and empire-waist styles, the waist measurement is secondary, so do not size up unnecessarily.
Everyday Tops, Blouses & Knitwear
Our tops are designed with generous ease through the bust and shoulders for comfort and movement. If you prefer a fitted look, order your true size; for a relaxed fit, consider sizing up one size. Knitwear typically stretches slightly over time, so do not size up unless you prefer an intentionally oversized silhouette. Pay attention to sleeve length in the product description, as proportions are carefully calibrated for extended sizes.
Trousers & Jeans
YOURS trousers are constructed with a higher rise and deeper pocket depth to suit extended sizes. Order according to your waist measurement for the best fit; our fabrics include stretch for all-day comfort. If purchasing online without trying on, verify the inside leg measurement against your own height and inseam, as conversion charts may not account for proportional differences in longer inseams. Many customers in extended sizes find that a petite inseam is not necessary, but individual fit varies.
Footwear: Trainers, Flats & Heels
YOURS footwear ranges from everyday trainers to occasion heels and is sized to the same UK and EU standards as mainstream brands. However, fit and width can vary significantly by style and last (the mould used in shoe construction). If you have particularly wide feet, we recommend checking individual product reviews for feedback on width, as not all styles accommodate fuller feet equally. Measure your foot length in centimetres and cross-reference the chart above; if you fall between UK sizes, size up for safety, especially in heeled styles where a tight fit may cause discomfort.
Swimwear & Activewear
Swimwear should fit snugly without gaping or pinching; YOURS designs include supportive structures and full coverage appropriate for extended sizes. Take your bust and hip measurements carefully, and select your size based on whichever is larger. Activewear is cut for movement and comfort, with generous proportions through the torso. If you prefer a tighter, more compressive fit, order your true size; for a looser athletic fit, consider sizing up by one size.
Sizing Tips
- Order your true size first. YOURS garments are cut with extended sizes in mind, so resist the urge to size down. Our sizing is calibrated to fit comfortably without excessive fabric.
- Check fabric composition. Natural fibres such as cotton and linen have minimal stretch, whereas jersey and blended synthetics offer more give. Size accordingly if you prefer a closer or looser fit.
- Review the size model. On product pages, note the height, size, and measurements of the model wearing the item. If her proportions are similar to yours, you can gauge fit more accurately.
- Measure in the evening. Feet swell throughout the day and can be up to half a size larger by evening. Measure shoe size in the late afternoon or evening for a more reliable fit when shopping footwear.
- Account for shrinkage. Always check fibre content and care instructions. Natural fabrics may shrink slightly; if in doubt, follow a gentle wash cycle and lay flat to dry to preserve garment size and shape.
- Know the difference between UK, US, and EU systems. US sizes are typically 1–2 sizes larger than UK sizes in the same garment. When converting to EU, add roughly 28–30 to your UK dress size (e.g., UK 18 ≈ EU 46).
- Use our returns policy. YOURS offers straightforward returns, so if a garment does not fit as expected, you can exchange or return it easily. Do not hesitate to order multiple sizes and find your perfect fit.
- Seek professional fitting for shoes. If you are purchasing heels or formal shoes and have wide feet, consider a professional shoe fitting to confirm width category (typically E, F, G, or H). This prevents discomfort and costly returns.
